Ali, that is true of most claimants though and has been for a long time. The difference is one of scale where a higher value claim may justify scrutiny.

I remember doing defendant litigation where there was a trial to put surveillance on everyone claiming £10k+. As a claimant solicitor I tell every one of my clients that if their lost income exceeds say £5k that they may well be watched.

I recall one of my clients being filmed trying (badly and without moving) to play 5-a-side inside. The person filming was in the sports hall with him. I actually thought it was a very good job by the surveillance bods and I was thankful as the video supported the claim that the injuries prevented my chap from playing football when he was previously semi-pro.
