Paragraph 4 says "There must be no suggestion that the judiciary are other than neutral in this dispute between the profession and the government": bluntly, H.M. Judges need to come off the fence rather than blindly - as per this direction (subtext, "pretend it isn't happening") - following the official line, unless they each individually / collectively think the way the Government now, and in the past, regardless of political stripe, has treated the justice system over which they preside, is OK, in which case, the justice system that we're all involved in - publically funded solicitors and barristers - stuffed! How do we persuade them that really the time has come to stand up and be counted?
