You seem to have missed the point of these changes; the person who had time off work, attended GP, etc will now get exactly the same as someone who didn’t. Currently the award takes into consideration the variables so individuals get an amount that reflects the impact of the injury.

The new system does not include an overhaul of the medical report content. If anything it does away with the need of anything other than a prognosis. Most of us miss the older more comprehensive reports and would welcome their return.

You also fail to address that if you get a so called simple sprain by, say falling at work, you will get significantly more than if you got exactly the same injury in a road traffic accident. How is that right?
