If you're negligent and it's proven to a legal standard, you pay for your mistake. The answer is don't be negligent.

Negligence claims keeps the medical profession in check; the same for the legal and other professions.

Seriously, you're trying to convince us that medical professionals are on minimum wage. I'm sure the PI lawyers will correct me, but isn't most negligence caused by doctors?

What about the exceptionally wealthy consultants who undertake both private and NHS work, or who charge the NHS exhorbitant fees, the same organisation who has trained them - talk about biting the hand that feeds you!

I'm not a PI lawyer, but I have a bug-bear. A family member had breast cancer and a double-mastectomy. This was around the same time the government agreed the NHS should fund replacement dodgy silicon implants for those who'd had "cosmetic surgery". Save to say, my sister was pushed to the back of the queue!

There are many wrongs within the NHS, including big pharma, individuals abandoning it after receiving hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of free training, etc., etc., etc., and yet you feel justified in picking on the injured. Wow, just wow!
