Presumably this was under the old rules. The new rules specifically on on line anonymous posing where people know you are a solicitor are even worse - vague and giving massive discretion to regulators (which makes for very bad rules). People use rude words all the time. I tend not to on line anoymously or otherwise and keep to the topics but I saw someone today calling the PM (I am a T May supporter by the way) a "mad c unt". Although I am a feminist who supports Mrs May to the hilt, I still would not want that lawyer to be criticsed for that freedom of expression (even though calling women "mad" is pretty classic from men criticising women sadly) . I want Tories and Labour voters, Brexiteer ( and Remainers like I am), anti and pro Israelis to be free to post their views with the SRA and Law Society standing behind freedom of speech even if some people lose their tempers from time to time.
