Another general rule of thumb is that trying to argue sense with a person who is deluded about their case is a waste of time and money...the wisdom of all those old sayings about everyone being out of step except for "our Johnny" will just fall on deaf ears....as, to use another old saying..."There are none so blind as those who WILL NOT see..."
It is only unfortunate that Courts and the other parties involved have to be subjected to this utter nonsense but this only happens as an attempt to protect access to justice (which always needs balancing against the rights of the other party to similarly have access to justice and not to have judicial rulings in their favour constantly attacked save where there are proper grounds for appeal). A properly managed legal aid system (which is not easily subjected to abuse by the public and, I regret to say, in some cases members of the profession) is the only alternative, but that seems hard to achieve.
