Anon @ 12.49. The answer is that nowadays Chancery DJs seem quite happy to allow anyone to be a company director again straightaway no matter how bad their conduct in a previous company.
In relation to Leonard Curtis's fees, the area of insolvency is one of the last great areas where overcharging is rife. There are no fixed fees in that sector and no Client to challenge whatever is charged. In my experience, most insolvency practitioners work backwards ie they look at what they have recovered and charge the same amount with a small deduction to leave a little fund to distribute to the poor unsecured creditors.
