When we say ‘partner’ we of course mean senior employee not a proper partner. Sure we all know they are self employed with some ‘equity’ (tax saving wheeze! Anyway relatively easy to cull because like cattle to the slaughter, they doe eyed and meekly accept the bolt in the brain, not wishing to cause a rumpus so take the payment (if any ? You are self employed?) so they get a reference to work in the next open plan mausoleum. They are usually mid career and thrusting so need a quick smooth exit and new job to pay mortgage. Sometimes they are just old (like me?) and ready to be culled of course but there is usually more paperwork that way. This needed saying.
