Scientific Exploration Society
Scientific Exploration Society (SES) is a UK-based charity that was founded in 1969 by Colonel John Blashford-Snell CBE and colleagues. It is the longest-running scientific exploration organisation in the world and its quest is to enable the next generation of scientific explorers. Each year through its Explorer Awards programme, SES provides grants to individuals leading scientific expeditions that focus on discovery, research, and conservation in remote parts of the world offering knowledge, education, and community aid.
The Churchill Fellowship
The Churchill Fellowship is a national network of almost 4,000 dynamic individuals from all parts of society who are inspiring change in every area of UK life. They may be a nurse promoting mental health in the NHS, a scientist monitoring pollution in the oceans, or a community leader training young entrepreneurs, but they are all united by a common mission: to develop new solutions for today’s key challenges, based on learning from the world.
