Registered Charity No: 258888 (England & Wales).
Windsor Festival organises projects throughout the year and hosts an eclectic series of events in March and September using the unique venues within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Established by Yehudi Menuhin and Ian Hunter in 1969 the Festival has expanded to incorporate a Literary Series, Spring Weekend, Schools' Programme and International String Competition.
With the aim of promoting a high quality and varied Festival for the cultural benefit of the local community Windsor Festival seeks to programme excellent performances, increase local access to the arts and music, encourage the development of young musicians and other artists and to provide opportunities for local performers.
Individual and corporate support is a crucial part of the Festival's income; it helps secure and maintain the future development of the Festival. Even with ticket revenue which provides only 25% of our income we depend upon the enthusiasm of the public and the goodwill of sponsors and supporters to maintain our programme.
Supporting our work with a legacy is one of the best possible ways you can become involved with Windsor Festival. Your legacy could be used to support:
A bursary award for the Schools' Programme; A memorial concert; A concert series; A literary event; The commissioning of a new event in a subject linked to your interests; A lecture series.
