Some 9,000 people - and a few dogs - from across the legal profession and beyond turned up for last night’s London Legal Walk.

They ran, walk and hobbled on a 10-kilometre circuit from the Royal Courts of Justice to Chancery Lane, taking in the Inns of Court, Whitehall, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and Wellington Arch along the way. Finishers were rewarded with a serenade by veteran protest singer Tom Robinson, who performed later in the Law Society Common Room, and a party in Carey Street.
