The four surviving 1215 copies of Magna Carta were brought together for the first time last week in a unification event at the British Library.

The library’s major exhibition ‘Magna Carta: Law, Liberty, Legacy’, sponsored by magic circle firm Linklaters, will run from 12 March to 1 September. ‘Although only three clauses from the original charter still exist in British law, the document’s significance still resonates around the world,’ said Linklaters partner Richard Godden.
