It has been some 18 months since Andrew Sparrow, founder of Birmingham-based niche firm Lecote Solicitors, last graced Obiter, and it is fair to say he is back with a bang. Mr Sparrow has previously appeared in these pages for his daredevil exploits - wing walking, a 150-mile trek across the Arctic Circle, and sticking his head out of a car being driven on two wheels - as well as his marketing efforts. The latter included persuading the lawyer on the other side of one deal to stand next to him for a picture 'inside the circle of trust', which consisted of their respective clients holding hands in a ring. Now Mr Sparrow has sent in this picture to accompany a press release headed 'The national forecast for new media law firm is bright', which says how swimmingly things are going. Helpfully, the note to editors says that the weather map depicts some of the locations where Lecote's clients are based in the UK. Ten out of ten for effort, we must say.
