Following from last week's rather feeble legal 'firsts', and at the risk of this becoming a PR-dominated issue... the latest attempt to drum up interest comes in a release saying 'Brachers appoint first human resources manager' in its 110-year history. Apparently the firm is 'one of the few law firms to recruit professional managers in the roles of HR and marketing....' Really? Is there a single law firm in the top 200 without such people?
