Obiter has come across (often rather dull) books commemorating a law firm's august history, but not - until now - a work of art. This picture by a local artist, Joe Scarborough, depicts the 150-year history of Sheffield firm Taylor & Emmet. One of the firm's commercial property partners won the opportunity to commission the picture in a charity auction, and Mr Scarborough (right) researched the firm over a number of months, including talking to former partners. Surely it's better to have this on the wall, than some worthy tome gathering dust on the shelf?
