We would like to congratulate Catherine Flatt, a dual-qualified solicitor and barrister, on her appointment as the first female member of the judicial panel of the Motor Sports Association, the governing body of all motorsport in the UK including Formula 1.
Ms Flatt works for White Dalton Motorcycle Solicitors, a firm that - judging by the pictures on its Web site www.whitedalton.co.uk - does exactly what it says on the tin. Her biography reveals that she 'came to law after seriously breaking her leg falling out of a tree' (when she was taking down Christmas lights).
In her spare time she races an Aston Martin DB2/4 (1953) and a Riley one-point-five (1958), and is the proud owner of a rare 1956 Maserati motorbike. She has even competed twice in the Le Mans Classic 24 hour race. Can any readers top that?
