By day, he is a serious-minded, sharp-suited commercial litigator, by night he is one of the hottest acts on the Bhangra music scene.

Daljit Bhogal, aka Jeet Bhogal, head of litigation at Birmingham firm Brownings, has produced and released a 13-track vocal and instrumental album All About Music. It is, he says, a reaction to the current music industry, which is 'all about money'. Obiter would not dream of making any comparison with the legal sector.

'Law is exciting,' says Bhogal, 'but you're constrained by rules and restrictions, while in music you are free... being a lawyer is a stable platform, but it's never going to make you really wealthy [sure about that, Jeet!?]. Being a music producer is not a stable platform, but if you get lucky you can make a lot of money.' For now, however, Bhogal is eschewing the pursuit of wealth, and assures Obiter he is not giving up the day job just yet.
