Solicitors pitching up for a night out at the Art Deco Rex cinema in Berkhamsted - which has a bar and small tables in the auditorium - may wish to arrive late so as to miss the pre-film advertisements. This is because, before every screening in 2007, the audience will be treated to a trailer parody extolling the virtues of Underwoods Solicitors, the firm led by flamboyant local employment/personal injury/costs law specialist Kerry Underwood. In it, the standard gravel-voiced American extols the virtues of the practice, throwing out phrases such as 'highly respected' - not quite 'In space no one can hear you scream', but top marks for trying. And we like the way it finishes: 'Law as fact,' the voiceover intones. 'Not fiction.' We're not entirely sure what that means (except in relation to billing, perhaps), but it sounds good.
