Some solicitors do not appreciate the hard work put in by those who run and are involved in local law societies. The latest example of this comes from Devon & Exeter Law Society (DELS), which has added the Verona Bar in Italy to bar association twinning arrangements with counterparts in France, Germany and Belgium. To celebrate the signing of the agreement, the Italian hosts were kind enough to produce one of their favourite white wines labelled, appropriately enough, 'Devon'. This was not a spoof, apparently - the owner of the vineyard simply liked the name. A note from the society to accompany this photo added: 'So did the 16-strong delegation from DELS - last seen eating and drinking for Devon near Lake Garda.' It makes you proud to be a solicitor.
