There's certainly no shortage of sporty lawyers out there. Pictured on the right is Hamlins intellectual property partner Ian Down, already dressed for a five-day charity swim around the island of Malta at the end of May - possibly to the surprise of some clients.
Down will face 'considerable hazards' on the 30km swim, including ocean currents, sunburn, and even Portuguese man-of-war jellyfish. No wonder he looks a bit grim.
The legal profession was also well represented at the London marathon on 13 April. The fastest lawyer we have been told about so far was Eversheds' David Wells, who completed it in 2hrs 49mins 56secs. Those nine loony lawyers previously featured from the Jones Day London office also entered the race as part of their 'two cities challenge' in Paris and London. Patrick Stafford was fastest in the London leg, completing the race in 3hrs 39mins.
Finally, our brave arctic adventurer Kirsty Devonport from Clifford Chance has finished her North Pole marathon in just 6hrs 12mins - despite arriving to find her base camp had not been built and her food was already frozen. It didn't take her long to cool down, we hear.
