This saucy seaside postcard image by artist Catharine Phelan was one of the exhibits at London law firm Edwin Coe's recent charitable art exhibition, where all 50 artists were either clients or people closely connected to the firm. They included sculptor Maurice Blik and painters Maxine Relton and Richard Davidson. The show, Edwin Coe's seventh, raised £13,152 for The Children's Heart Federation and the Parkinson's Disease Society. Meanwhile, Obiter can report that the next exhibition from Collyer-Bristow is to be somewhat tamer than the last. Regular readers will recall that the London firm achieved a notable first for a law firm by projecting a reclining woman's naked body above its front door for the opening of its new gallery, which it called a 'very public private view'. This time round, however, it has gone for a collection of still life artwork, with strawberries and cherries the name of the game.
