Obiter is always keen to hear of lawyers' attempts to achieve sporting greatness, whatever the field of endeavour.
The latest to aim for immortality is Warren Little - pictured right, first on the left - an intellectual property specialist at Leeds firm Walker Morris. He is off to Nepal this week with a group of non-lawyers who make up the Irish team to compete in the 24th World Elephant Polo Championships. Previous participants in the competition include the likes of Ringo Starr, Sir Edmund Hillary and Billy Connolly.
Although bookie Paddy Power is offering 4-1 on the Irish lifting the trophy, Obiter would advise readers not to put their life savings on Mr Little and his colleagues, following his admission that 'unfortunately, none of the team has ever played polo or even ridden an elephant before'.
A summer spent training with broom handles attached to horse-polo mallets aboard a 4x4 could prove well spent, though, and an upbeat Mr Little says his team 'are confident that the luck of the Irish will see us through'.
All proceeds from the event go to finance a school for disadvantaged, disabled and deaf children in Nepal, and to tiger and elephant conservation projects.
