Christmas is, traditionally, a time of giving and receiving cards - or at least telling people you have made a donation to charity instead of sending them a traditional missive. Bournemouth law firm Laceys has gone a stage further - to the delight of its PR people. The firm has, it says, 'thought of an a-moo-sing way to raise charity cash at Christmas'. Yes, it is spending the money it would otherwise have spent on cards 'on an udder gift - a cow!' Donating £750 to the Send A Cow charity that helps farmers is 'good moos' for the poor of Africa. The fact that the cow is in Africa was not a bar to the PR people's creativity either - pictured 'getting up close and personal with one friendly cow' is Laceys solicitor Lee Wilkins. All in all, Obiter maintains that this is a very moo-ving story and that Laceys deserves a pat on the back.
