Ahead of this Sunday's London Marathon, Obiter brings you news of another runner with a strong legal connection and a particularly garish outfit. David Gordon, a Scots-born lawyer who runs DG Law in south-west London, will pound the streets as 'the Flying Scotsman'. Mr Gordon is raising money for the Dyslexia Institute Bursary Fund, and hopes to secure enough to pay for a year's specialist tuition for one dyslexic child. He can be sponsored on www.justgiving.com/theflyingscotsman. Also taking part will be 71-year-old London solicitor Jeffrey Gordon, one of only 29 runners to have taken part in every London Marathon since the event was launched in 1981. He is raising funds for the Eve appeal, a recently launched charity aiming to boost research into ovarian cancer.
