Dual-qualified US/UK lawyer Leslie Emilie Tuck has broken her personal best. Three years ago the solicitor - originally from Brooklyn, but now based in Yorkshire - donated 12 inches of her hair to Locks of Love, a charity that makes wigs for children who suffer from long-term medical hair loss, usually as a result of cancer or alopecia. When she went to her hairdresser, Tita Cassanelli, in Skipton last month, however, she managed to offload another 15 inches. Sponsorship from Ms Tuck's firm, Bywaters Topham Phillips of Harrogate, meant that the locks could be shipped off to the US charity post-haste, alongside a monetary donation. But the question remains - the 15 inches of hair may be a record for Ms Tuck, but is it for the profession as a whole? Photographic evidence will be required for any challengers for the crown.
