Oxford firm Henmans has always been admirably reticent about making a big marketing hooplah out of its familial ties with Britain's best tennis player for many a generation. But come the firm's move to new offices, and the Henman clan was out in force, including former senior partner and now consultant Anthony Henman (pictured) - who is perhaps best known for sitting impassively watching his son on Wimbledon's centre court - and his brother and also a former partner, Roger. They are the grandsons of the firm's founder, Adolphus Ballard, whose great-grandson happily showed up for the big event. There is a similar link between rower Sir Matthew Pinsent and the founder of what is now top national firm Pinsent Masons, and Obiter would be fascinated to learn of others.
