Congratulations are in order for Andrew Reid, senior partner of Mayfair firm Reid Minty and racehorse trainer. Last month, the Solicitor King of the Turf notched up his 150th flat winner (The Barton Sands) for his north London racing stables, which he only established six years ago. Other triumphs include being named the 2005 Lingfield all-weather champion racehorse trainer. Eccentric, his home-bred and trained chestnut gelding, also won the 2005 all-weather derby. Unfortunately, a recent heart operation means Mr Reid has decided to reduce both his work levels and the amount of time spent training horses but he said he was 'delighted' to have achieved his latest milestone.
