Nearly four years after Big Brother Series Six was aired, former contestant Vanessa Layton is back… as a lawyer. And she’s not shy about it. Layton survived seven weeks in the reality TV show. Now in her penultimate year of study at law school, the 23-year-old tells us she has grabbed the ‘NMC Herbert Smith Law Student of the Year Award 2009’. She collected the gong from a Herbies partner last week. Alas, the nationals have beaten us to this scoop of scoops. ‘The Daily Mail are running a double-page feature on my achievements and I will also be interviewed by other press,’ she says in her email. Obiter is sure she’ll go far.
