Obiter is always on the lookout for legal connections to Channel 4's 'Big Brother' - previous editions have included trainee solicitors and law students in the ranks of contestants - but unfortunately neither the latest B-list celeb-fest nor the 2005 series obliged.
Fortunately, Leeds and Bradford firm Schofield Sweeney has come to the rescue. Its PR representative admitted the connection is 'slightly tenuous' - but who cares?
Schofield Sweeney - we are told - advised construction company Metalrax, which built the main living room in the 'Big Brother' house. Metalrax then got involved in a dispute with the company that commissioned the house over who had the right to exploit its intellectual property rights.
Thankfully the case was settled, and Schofield Sweeney's clients can now sell further units. Hurrah!
