If any readers are planning to go and cheer on the runners at the Flora London Marathon on 17 April, they would be well advised to take a good pair of sunglasses with them. Among the many participants with a legal connection will be Robin Bayly, a director at broker Alexander Forbes Professions who focuses on the top 100 law firms. Mr Bayly (pictured above) will be running wearing a banana suit as part of the Leukaemia Research Fund's 'barmy army'. Meanwhile, a team of six lawyers, drawn from top law firms including Taylor Wessing and Allen & Overy, are to pound the streets in aid of The Disability Law Service (DLS). The service, which gives free legal advice and help to disabled people and parents with disabled children, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Not to be outdone, the DLS runners will be wearing singlets in 'gherkin green', with a design by the eminent cartoonist Heath.
