Shock news from Parliament: no staff employed in the Serious Fraud Office, Treasury Solicitor's Department or Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate live in Castle Point in Essex. That is the vital information revealed by Solicitor-General Mike O'Brien in response to a question from local Conservative MP Bob Spink. However, intriguingly, some at the Crown Prosecution Service and Revenue & Customs Prosecution Service may live in his constituency, but that information is withheld under the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information. Mr O'Brien was also forced to concede that the Law Officers do not own any land or property in the area.
