Since the magnificent Moxx of Balhoon of the solicitors Jolko & Jolko met his demise last year, there has been regrettably little in the way of legal interest in 'Doctor Who'. So our thanks go to City firm Stephenson Harwood for acting for the management on the £125 million sale of Uskmouth power station in south Wales. This may not initially seem of great import to those with an interest in travelling through time and space but, excitingly, Uskmouth was the set for the Cyberman factory in their recent return to terrorising humanity and small children in particular. Any other tangential 'Doctor Who' links to the law would, of course, be welcome. Legal sci-fi fans can only hark back to the episode of 'Sliders' - about a group of people who keep sliding to different parallel Earths - in which they encounter an Earth where 84% of the population are lawyers. One of our heroes only had to be bumped in the street by a passer-by to be swamped by advisers offering to act for him in his personal injury action, while before ordering a hamburger, fries and a cola, they had to present salmonella insurance, a carbonated beverage release form, a picture ID and a note from their doctor indicating that their cholesterol count was below 200.
