Great news, readers - once again, a lawyer has triumphed over hundreds of other pensions professionals in the most humorous category of the Art of Pensions awards run by Pendragon Professional Information, where people in the industry are asked to put their current thinking on the back of a postcard.
In 2004, Chris Mullen of national firm Pinsent Masons walked off with the coveted gong, while this year it was the turn of Ian Pittaway, senior partner of London firm Sacker & Partners, to cover himself in glory - albeit with a little assistance from his nine-year-old son, Alastair. Obiter continues to be a trifle mystified about what it takes to win the category but credit where credit is due.
