She has only two speeds: firing on all cylinders or unconscious. That’s what the husband of Morag Goldfinch, the Law Society’s regional manager for greater London, says about her. And she has needed her irrepressible energy over the last six months after being diagnosed with breast cancer. ‘I’ll be back,’ she said, upon hearing the diagnosis, ‘and as the song says, I’ll be wearing pink pyjamas when I come.’ True to her word, she is now doing the 20 mile Ribbon Walk, in pink pyjamas, to raise money for Breast Cancer Care, a charity that gives information and support for sufferers and campaigns for better standards of care. ‘A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every 11 minutes,’ Morag says. ‘That’s 46,000 women a year.’ She is aiming, ‘fingers and bunions crossed’, to raise £1,000 or more for the charity.
