This 1933 4.5 litre Lagonda must be a contender for the classiest car featured so far in our profiles of motorsport-loving solicitors. Similar to a car that won Le Mans in 1933, she is owned by Andrew Gregg of Bristol-based Gregg Latchams WRH. Pictured practising for the Prescott Hill Climb, Mr Gregg has run 'The Lag' since 1964 when he found it being used as a chicken coop on a farm in Sussex. He made the discovery when he was working for a garage - to supplement his income as an articled clerk (today's trainees don't know they're born) - and was called out to start a tractor. While he was there, he caught sight of the car's headlights with the body covered in brambles. Mr Gregg shelled out £25, a tidy sum in those days, but he reports that 'she is much more fun and challenging to drive than a modern car'.
