Social stigma around marital breakdown isn’t what it used to be. News has just reached Obiter of a new event in the social calendar, the Divorce Show. Launched to a fanfare of softly weeping violins, the show at the NEC is aimed at more than two million people in the UK whose relationships are falling apart. The show is the brainchild of Midlands couple Catherine Castle and Bryan Powell and has been sponsored by family law specialists Woolley & Co. It will help everyone, Castle says, ‘from those simply questioning their marital status… to those initiating divorce proceedings or beginning life again after legal separation’.
