One of Obiter's New Year resolutions was to move upmarket, and this week we have proof that there is life after the law for those with artistic leanings. Elizabeth Hannaford - a property lawyer for more than 15 years who practised at the London firms of Baileys Shaw & Gillett and Bates Wells & Braithwaite - is one of three artists showing at the Art First gallery in Cork Street, London between 11 January and 24 February. Pictured is a diptych titled 'Rock, Iceland'. Ms Hannaford's work has been snapped up in the past by the likes of City firm Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw.
