We're going to Wember-lee: there is something about Wembley Stadium that turns every football fan into a gibbering wreck of joy, and Daniel Taylor, a trainee at Cobbetts in Leeds, is clearly no different, to judge by an email he sent us recently.

Mr Taylor was manager of a team that took part in the Umbro Fives football competition, which saw various teams win through to play at Wembley in July. Sadly, he was unable to play himself, having undergone a cruciate knee ligament reconstruction operation, but he relays his day in gleeful detail, from being escorted on to the coach to lining up to face the somewhat sparse crowd while the national anthem was sung (he is pictured below with his team on the pitch, fourth from left).

His team did not progress in the tournament, despite remaining undefeated, but they got the chance to meet BBC frontman Ray Stubbs - what more could one ask from a day?
