The BDA stands for Deaf Equality, Access and Freedom of Choice.
Our work is focused on achieving equality for deaf people through community empowerment and campaigning. Working with local deaf communities is crucial to the success of BDA campaigns and creates opportunities for deaf people to develop, participate and contribute in wider society.
Our current projects are:
- Deaf Children and Young People
- Deaf People Training
- Deaf Community Advocacy and Development
- Policy and Campaigns
- Deaf International
At the BDA, we are committed to providing a better and brighter future for deaf children, young people, adults and older people, and it is because of the generosity of our supporters that we have been able to make a real difference to so many. Gifts in Wills provide a vital source of funding for the BDA and offer our supporters a simple yet meaningful way to leave a lasting gift to future generations of deaf people and their families.
75% of our work is funded by the public and therefore each and every size and type of gift is so important, no matter how big or how small.
By choosing to support the BDA in this way, you can help future generations of deaf children, young people, adults and older people for years to come and allow them the opportunity to take a more active part in wider society and to be whatever they want to be.
