Leave a resounding legacy
Cherubim is a national charity based in Wiltshire that loans professional-calibre orchestral instruments to music students all over the country who cannot afford one that matches their abilities. This makes a life-enhancing difference to the career prospects of aspiring soloists. Our YouTube channel shows the extraordinary attainment of our awardees.
Contact Michael Maxwell Steer (director) or Arturo Serna (Deputy Director, Instruments) info@cherubimtrust.org to discuss options.
With student debt, many simply can’t afford the £10-30,000 good instruments cost nowadays. This is where Cherubim comes in. Our instrument collection includes 4 concert harps, 49 strings, woodwind, brass and percussion suitable for all styles of music from historically informed performance to jazz. Every instrument is shown on our website, together with current awardees.
A bequest can make a real difference to a dedicated young person by enabling Cherubim to buy or commission an instrument that meets the specialists needs of an applicant. Where at least two-thirds of the cost are met we are delighted to name the instrument in the donor’s honour. We are always happy to advise on the best course of actions in differing circumstances. We also require funding and investment to meet our core operating and instrument maintenance costs.
Cherubim Music Trust was founded 25 years ago by BAFTA-winning costume designer Deirdre Clancy Steer, and our instrument collection has grown steadily to over 80. Our services are in growing demand, so you/your client could play a crucial role.
