Does Michael Gove (‘Ban solicitor-advocates’) think it is just to tell a defendant that he cannot place his case in the hands of an experienced advocate of his choice, so that he can be a source of funds for an apparently struggling branch of the profession?

It is to be hoped that the Bar Council will have the dignity to disassociate itself from this idea.
