Briefcases and ties were checked at the door last night as London’s legendary 100 Club hosted the latest Law Rocks! battle of the bands. Five bands competed, with Harrison Fury - formed by lawyers at Preston-headquartered Harrison Drury - taking the honours. The line-up, including family lawyer John Osborne on lead guitar and vocals and executive chairman John Chesworth on guitar, rocked a tight set of classic covers, including a blistering 'Heatwave’.

Other bands represented law firms Blake Morgan, Martin Clarke, Harrison Clark Rickerbys and TLT.

For all the raw energy and glitter, there were signs that professional habits die hard. A judge’s advice to one band was: 'Hoy, drummer, take your effing jacket off!’

Law Rocks! has raised over $4m for charities in worldwide gigs over the past eight years. Next up is Law Rocks! Rome, at the International Bar Association conference, on 11 October.
