Ewa Kodymowska-Sioła is a Polish-qualified Advocate with almost 20 years of legal experience, specialising in Polish and international family law and providing independent expert evidence on Polish law for proceedings before the Family Court in England and Wales.

She accepts instructions from solicitors, barristers and Local Authorities, including Single Joint Expert instructions, where proceedings require expert evidence concerning Polish family law, Polish court procedure or the legal effect and practical implementation of English family orders in Poland.

Ewa has experience of being jointly instructed as an expert on Polish law in English Family Court proceedings, including matters concerning the recognition and enforcement of English orders in Poland and cross-border children cases.

With extensive experience in complex international family cases, Ewa is particularly well placed to assist where the English Court needs to understand not only the provisions of Polish law, but also how those provisions and foreign orders operate in practice before Polish courts and authorities.

She is a member of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) and the Expert Witness Institute (EWI) and is undertaking specialist expert witness training in England and Wales.

Ewa is also progressing towards qualification as a solicitor of England and Wales, with the aim of becoming dual-qualified in Poland and England & Wales. She has been granted an exemption from SQE2 by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and is currently preparing for SQE1.

Expert reports can be prepared in English or Polish, and instructions involving urgent or complex cross-border children matters are welcomed.
