Commercial law specialists Bertram Fairbanks, formerly Bertram Law, has appointed partner Julia Knight as its new head of commercial property.

Knight will be based at the firm's head office in Exeter. She advises clients on commercial property work ranging from sole traders to large corporate entities, and deals with sales and acquisitions, secured lending, refinancing, and lease work. She also has expertise in advising charities and pension funds on property transactions and the specific requirements that must be met.

Knight commented: 'I’m absolutely delighted to have joined Bertram Fairbanks as a partner and to be heading up its commercial property department. Fellow partner Annelie Carver joined the firm last year. She has over two decades of experience in advising on businesses from start-ups to public-listed companies.
