To support ongoing growth, full service commercial law firm, HRC Law, has expanded its team with the appointment of Nasrin Ali.

Nasrin joins the firm’s growing commercial property department as an associate and has over 19 years’ experience. She joins from Slater & Gordon where she held the position of senior associate. Prior to this she trained at Cameron McKenna, held positions at Allen & Overy and Addleshaw Goddard and was a sole practitioner for 11 years.

Her property experience extends beyond property law as Nasrin also is a qualified civil engineer and she worked at Balfour Beatty early in her career, before training as a solicitor.

Nasrin is also the deputy chair of Manchester Planning and Highways Committee and is a judge of the First Tier Residential Property Tribunal as well as a school governor. She will continue with these commitments whilst working in the team, bringing complementary experience to the firm from each role.

The property team, headed by partner Helen Marsh, was formed two years ago and has experienced rapid growth in line with the rest of the firm, advising on many high profile transactions such as The Fragrance Shop’s Oxford Street flagship store and DOMU Brands’ (formerly Designer Habitat) new office headquarters and warehouse expansion. Nasrin will be advising the firm’s clients on a full spectrum of commercial property law issues ranging from one-off transactions to year-round property portfolio management.

Commenting on her appointment Nasrin said: ‘As soon as I met the team at HRC Law, I was absolutely clear this was the right move for me. The firm works in partnership with its ambitious client list and collaborates brilliantly across teams to help clients’ businesses succeed.’

Property partner, Helen Marsh said: ‘At HRC Law we look for cultural fit, technical skill and deep sector expertise in our new hires. Nasrin ticked every box and was the obvious choice. Our clients look to us for our problem-solving approach and to have an eye on opportunities for them and their business. Nasrin brings such a wealth of industry insight, we’re looking forward to the value she will add to the firm and our clients.’
