Defendant law firm, Keoghs, has launched its Marine, Ports and Offshore team.

Daniel Crockford and Alex Penberthy join as partners bringing with them a wealth of experience in the marine sector. This follows the arrival of dual-qualified partner Stefanie Johnston, an established name in the marine sector, earlier this year.

Stefanie specialises in both wet and dry shipping and transport cases. She acts on behalf of insurers, P&I clubs, ports, cargo interests, freight forwarders and logistics companies. She has vast experience in a variety of commercial and high profile regulatory cases both north and south of the border.  Stefanie holds a certificate in P&I Insurance. She also heads up the Comite Maritime International working group on the collision regulations within the Polar Regions.

Daniel specialises in marine insurance with a particular expertise in the yacht and superyacht industry. He is noted by Legal 500 for his strong reputation in insurance work and ’great commercial judgment’. Daniel has experience in a range of cases from collision and salvage claims through to theft, fraudulent claims and defending marine professionals such as surveyors, engineers and architects.

Alex specialises in insurance law with a focus on marine litigation including cross jurisdictional claims.  He regularly acts on cases involving public and employers’ liability claims concerning merchant, passenger and pleasure vessels and brings solid experience in the investigation of marine accidents.

Keoghs Marine team is already supporting a growing domestic and international client base. The team are members of the British Ports Association and all three partners are members of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association.
