Specialist wills and probate solicitor Nadia Faki has joined the Leicester office of Nelsons Solicitors.

Nadia started her career at Leicestershire-based law firm Lawson West 10 years ago, where she worked her way through the ranks, qualifying as a solicitor in 2009 and then becoming head of the wills and probate team in 2014.

Nadia, who has joined Nelsons’ wills and probate team, based on New Walk, as an associate, said: ‘I am thrilled to have joined such a large and respected regional law firm and everyone has been very welcoming.’

Nadia graduated from the University of Derby in 2005 with a degree in business management and law. She then went on to study at De Montfort University, where she completed her graduate diploma in law a year later and her LPC in 2007.

As part of her role at Nelsons, Nadia will be providing her expertise and advising clients on will drafting, inheritance tax planning, administration of estates and powers of attorney.

She said: ’The best part of my job is being able to advise and support a client either through a difficult time in their life or to help them plan for the future. I like to build good relationships and trust with my clients so they know who to contact when they have a legal problem or need any advice.’

‘My priority going forward is to work with the team to develop the wills and probate department and let people know we are here to help. I am looking forward to working with a range of clients and also building a good network with other local professionals.’

Jane Sutherland, partner in the Leicester wills and probate team, said: ‘We are thrilled that Nadia has joined us. Her significant experience in this area brings additional expertise and depth to the team and I am looking forward to working with her.’
