International law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has appointed Adrian Jones as partner in the firm’s commercial disputes team.

Jones' experience in complex international arbitration cases has seen him deal with investor-state, energy, financial services, joint venture and shareholder disputes. His appointment expands the firm’s offerings in these areas on both sides of the Atlantic.

Jones has represented clients for more than 20 years under many of the world’s leading international arbitration regimes, including the International Chamber of Commerce, the London Court of International Arbitration and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.

He has handled commercial and investor-state arbitrations in disputes arising from transactions across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Russia.

Paul Stewart, WBD UK managing partner, commented: 'Adrian’s arrival further strengthens our international arbitration practice across the US and the UK. As we continue to grow our business, the decades of experience that Adrian brings will both add to our specialised practice areas in the UK and enhance our existing practices, particularly in the financial institutions and energy sectors. We are delighted that he has decided to join us.'
