Nottingham-based licensing solicitors Poppleston Allen has appointed associate solicitor Hannah Price to build on its existing presence in the regulatory market.

Hannah, who was appointed from Shoosmiths’ Birmingham office, will work alongside partner Graeme Cushion and the existing regulatory team to focus on expanding licensing related health & safety and food safety issues.

Although Hannah will be based in the firm’s Lace Market head office she will be working nationally.

She continues: ’Regulatory law has always been a hot topic. And with the growth of the dining out market coupled with recent changes to sentencing guidelines for food safety, health & safety and corporate manslaughter, it will be top of the licensing agenda for many.’

Aside from Hannah’s experience working within law firm’s she has spent several years as an in-house solicitor within the Regulatory Prosecutions and Licensing team at Leicester City Council.

This appointment comes just months after Poppleston Allen promoted Andy Grimsey to partner, taking the number of partners within the boutique firm to eight.
