She specialises in family law and child protection issues, including representation in matters involving social services such as care proceedings, discharge of care orders and contact with children in care.

Gabriel, based in Leeds, will provide support across the team in its work representing families in disputes relating to the care of children, including care proceedings brought by the local authority, or privately between parents or other individuals.

The pair have been welcomed by Simpson Millar’s head of child care proceedings Patricia Cannon, who said that their ‘empathy and understanding’ meant they were ideally placed to support clients.

She said: 'Both Sarah and Josie are extremely passionate about the work that they do.

'Their empathy and understanding about the issues that our clients are experiencing means that they are perfectly placed to offer support for people in their time of need, whilst building strong relationships. It is a real privilege to have them both on board.'
